By the way, I remember you once said you did not understand my comment re: consciousness was an emergent property of the system.
As a few of us are exploring consciousness in the Saloon, I'd love to have you join if you are at all interested, particularly as I know you are interested in networks/complex systems and I am personally tend to come at consciousness from this angle. You'd have to jump back and read a few of the earlier posts but I thought I'd make the invite in case your interested.

Cats with catnip ?
I have seen cats under the influence of catnip, and they look like they are having a mystical experience...
Regarding his choice of venue to extend the invitation, Thai, like The Lord, moves in mysterious ways.
Cats on catnip behave a bit frenzied in my experience. I always think of a mystical experience as one where the body doesn't move about much because the mind is transfixed on the otherworldly. But who knows, maybe catnip is a portal to another world, so to speak.
